Dao of the Hollow Star

In the Ashen Province, every child is judged by the Heaven-Root Mirror and assigned a fate before they can read their own name. Liang Shen, a gravekeeper’s son with no spiritual roots, survives by tending the tombs of failed cultivators and listening to the regrets they leave behind. When a forbidden meteor falls into the ancestral cemetery, it awakens a black star within his dantian, a power that does not gather spiritual energy, but devours broken oaths, dying wills, and the remnants of shattered Daos.

Mistaken for cursed trash by the righteous sects and hunted as a calamity by demonic clans, Shen enters the Azure Horizon Sect under a false identity. There he must navigate brutal trials, pill masters who treat disciples as ingredients, tournament arenas where geniuses burn like incense, and ancient inheritances guarded by souls too proud to die. But each step on his path reveals a terrible truth: the heavens are not eternal law, but a prison built by those who ascended first.
