After a lifetime of grueling discipline, reaching fifth Dan, and finally turning his solo shop into New York’s most recent Michelin-starred restaurant, Ren was ready to reap the rewards. He was at the absolute pinnacle of his craft.

Then he fell into a back-alley portal.

Now Ren is stuck in Valdoris, a completely foreign reality featuring sprawling cities, near-divine beings, mana planes, and enough magical bureaucracy to drive a person insane.

To survive, he is going to have to fight, cook, and butcher hoards of dark monsters. Armed with two newly awakened cores, the ability to cook divine boons, and godlike sword powers, he must face this bizarre new world.
