The Last Safe Floor

When the sky cracks open and the System descends, every city on Earth is carved into vertical dungeon zones. Streets become hunting grounds. Subways turn into breeding pits. Skyscrapers are converted into Safe Floors where survivors can breathe—if they can pay the tribute in monster cores before midnight.

Evan Hale, a burned-out paramedic haunted by the patients he failed to save, awakens to a forbidden class: Corpse Shepherd. The System marks him as an aberration, granting him power over the dead in a world where every corpse can rise wrong. Hated by survivors and hunted by system-spawned inquisitors, Evan must build a faction from the desperate, the damned, and the dying.

But the Safe Floors are not salvation. They are farms. As monster waves grow smarter and rival human factions turn predatory, Evan discovers the apocalypse is only the first phase of a harvest—and Earth was selected because something beneath it is waking up hungry.
