The Last Safe Zone

When the sky tears open and the System brands every living human with a countdown, paramedic Mara Venn is trapped in downtown Cleveland as hospitals become slaughterhouses and the dead begin evolving. Monsters pour from subway tunnels, grocery stores turn into battlefields, and the first Safe Zones rise behind shimmering walls that only accept those willing to swear obedience to alien rules.

Mara awakens with the forbidden class Gravebound Medic, able to heal by bargaining with death itself. Every life she saves leaves a mark on her soul, and every corpse nearby whispers secrets the System wants buried. With a traumatized teenager, a disgraced cop, and a cult-like guild hunting her for her class core, Mara must carve a path through monster waves and collapsing human factions.

But the Safe Zones are not shelters. They are farms. And when Mara learns the next wave is designed to harvest the strongest survivors, she faces an impossible choice: level up fast enough to become humanity’s shield, or burn the last refuge to the ground before it devours them all.
