Chapter 19
by inkadminA staff served a hot plate of fried prawns with butter on top to both Hemon and Neja.
Before Hemon could answer or ask anything, Neja insisted that they should continue their conversation after a quick bite.
She ordered the fried prawns for both of them and until the food arrived, she started to add bits of information about her family and their business.
Hemon picked up a piece of the fried prawn with a fork and was about to bite into it when Neja gently placed her hand on top of his, stopping him.
“Try it this way” she said.
She picked a piece of the fried prawn herself with a fork then proceeded to dip it into butter lightly which was given in a small bowl. After dipping it once, she bit into the fried prawn.
Hemon watched her attentively and mimicked her, finally taking a bite of the fried prawn himself. Immediately he agreed with her, this was a dish to die for.
Both of them finished the dish in silence. After they were finished eating, a staff promptly came and cleared the plates from the table.
“You weren’t wrong about the fried prawns” he confessed.
Neja grinned and said, “Our company provides these prawn shipments to the city and the Order is one of our best customers. It is our point of pride that we only offer only the best products to our customers”

“Would you like to have something to drink, Mr Hemon?” She asked.
“Just Hemon please and no… I don’t drink so early in the day. It is very bad for my health and I like to keep myself healthy.” He replied.
“Yes of course… the new tournament has just been announced and you have been also invited to take part in it. Exactly the reason why, I decided to approach you today.
I must confess something first. Originally, I had no plans to approach you this early. I had my eyes on you for quite a while and was planning to approach you much later, but the announcement of the new tournament forced me to change my plans.
Originally, our plan was to debut in the Battle of the Orphan Invitational, but when a tournament of this magnitude comes along, you have to grab the opportunity.
Fortunately, I recognised you in the crowd and decided not to waste any time.” She explained.
