Chapter 6 | All The Protagonists
by inkadminTheo closed his eyes and let Leila do her thing. At least it blocked out the nausea somewhat. Once he felt his weight return, he reopened his eyes and studied his surroundings. He was in another cubical room, maybe slightly bigger, with four chairs facing each other.
Whoa. What a change of scenery.
Theo pushed himself to his feet and turned to Leila.
“You wait here. I will get the others quickly,” the woman said before disappearing from his sight.
Theo sighed and chose a chair to sit on. As he waited, he started considering what had just happened.
I stepped outside– Hell, I didn’t even step outside and got attacked. Was it really just a coincidence or was she testing me? He held his chin in contemplation. Either way, I managed to formulate my first actual working spell and use it in a time of need. I even got a skill level-up! This is something to be celebrated, right?
[Logical Spell-Casting (Epic) (Level 2)]
[This main character has a spell-casting method rooted in semantics and internal logic.]
There wasn’t a change in the description of his skill, at least not yet. Dismissing the panel, Theo brought up his stat sheet.
[Name: Theo Robbins]
[Level: 2]
[Tier: F-Rank]
[Species: Human]
[Type: Transmigrator]
[Class: Supreme Main Character]
[Strength: 1.021]
[Vitality: 1.567]
[Endurance: 0.881]
[Dexterity: 0.981]
[Perception: 3.17]
[Mana: 3.551]
[Free Points: 2]
F-Rank… I wonder how the tiering is done exactly. What was it…? Theo scrolled through his notifications to bring up the older ones. He found the archetype notification he had received from one of the unconscious people. Right. Sword Talent something something. I wonder what tier this guy is. If it’s a talent-type skill… Maybe he has a faster learning speed?
As he was busy thinking, Theo noticed Leila’s mana signature return. The person she brought was a young man, maybe a couple of years younger than Theo himself. He was completely naked, unlike Theo, who had managed to find himself some clothes back in the cubic room. He had short, orderly hair and an infuriatingly well-kept body.

After leaving the guy wheezing on the ground, Leila left again. The two were now alone.
Smiling wryly, Theo walked over and helped the man up while trying not to look down.
“Are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah. Yeah. Thanks.”
“No problem,” Theo nodded and sat him down on one of the chairs. He looked around and placed his hand on an inscription. The guy watched him materialize a drawer out of the wall and take out a set of clothes. Throwing them over, he introduced himself. “I’m Theo.”
“John,” the young man said as he held his throat. Once he calmed down, he wore the clothes and covered himself up.
“From Earth, I assume?”
“Yeah… Shit,” John muttered under his breath. “This really isn’t a joke, is it? We are really in some… Some other world.”
“Seems so,” Theo answered, albeit with his own doubts. At this point, there could be many explanations for their situation. One was that they really had been isekai’d. Or it could be aliens. Maybe some strange experiment of the government.
Either way, something supernatural was very obviously at play. He was using magic, like, actual magic. Which definitely made Theo giddy.
“God damn it… My girlfriend must be really worried. I have to go back!” John pushed himself to his feet and started pacing around the room. Theo watched him with a slight frown.
I guess that’s the normal reaction. For me… I didn’t leave much behind. Hell, not even a pet.
The thought made him melancholic for a second, but he was used to dissociating pretty quickly. Everyone had their own way of coping. And as long as Theo didn’t think too long about it and let it catch up to him, he would be fine.
So the emotions faded away into a dark corner of his mind before he even registered them.
“My mom… I should call her. I don’t have my phone, though.”
“I don’t think having your phone would change anything,” Theo said. “We wouldn’t have reception.”
“Right. You’re right… Then we should–” John kept exploring ways of going back to Earth.
Sigh… So 50x mana regen, huh? This guy? Then becoming a mage would be the best course of action for him, no? He would spam spells all day. Although it seems like an ability that would cap out early in power, I still feel a bit jealous.
The reason was the overall complexity of his skill. 50x mana regen was simple. The course he had to take was obvious. He could just focus on casting spells like a madman and get done with it.
His class, Supreme Main Character, however…
By the time Leila returned with another poor bastard, Theo was already annoyed with John’s neurotic actions. It was another man, clothed, unlike John, fortunately. He was slightly overweight, with a disorderly stubble covering his chin. He had long, unkempt hair flowing down his back.

Theo barely stifled a chuckle as he watched the guy get on his feet. The man looked around. He turned to see Leila leaving and revealed a disgusting grin.
“Damn, she’s fine,” he muttered to himself. He then turned and looked around, his dead-fish eyes settling on Theo. “Don’t you think so, bro?”
“…?” Theo raised a brow. He considered whether or not he should answer, but John took over.
“What the fuck are you talking about!?” He walked up to the fat man and grabbed his T-shirt. “Don’t you see the situation we’re in? We have been kidnapped and thrown into a strange dungeon with weird– with weird magics and stuff.”
“Whoa, whoa! Calm down!” The guy peeled John’s hands away from his shirt and stepped back. “Look, sorry, okay? How about this? I’m Melvin. What’s your name?”
John stepped away, rubbing his wrists, clearly hurt by Melvin’s strong grip.
“John. Let’s be serious here, alright?” He turned to Theo and nodded slightly. Theo could only shrug and introduce himself too. The room found itself in a strange silence. John was quite jumpy, his legs bouncing in a constant, annoying rhythm of pitter-patter.
Melvin, on the other hand, seemed like an excited child. He kept getting up and checking the inscriptions on the walls. Occasionally, he would use his red-colored mana to check what was inside, only to be even more amazed and gasp at the fact that he was actually using mana.
Well, at least Theo thought so. This Melvin guy was to be respected, as he seemed to be several stages above him in the NEET leaderboard. Even Theo had been baffled by the fact that he was kidnapped, injected with strange substances, thrown alone into a room to study magic, and was made to meet with other kidnappees.
Melvin? He was already talking about Leila’s ass, for some reason.
A couple of minutes later or so, Leila finally came back with the final member of this little meeting.
